Fortune Favors the Brave — 3 Reasons Why
We often hear people saying, to succeed, you need to be disciplined, dedicated, talented, and confident. All of these characteristics are important, but they are not necessary. Do you know what is? Courage. The first step towards reaching your goal — be brave.
You might have a great idea for a business. You might be talented. But to accomplish your goals, you have to act on them. And to act, we have to embrace our fears and be courageous. Your inner drive should be so fierce that you would be focused on nothing but your goal.
Hence, today we will discuss why bravery is more important than all the other qualities put together.
1. Courage to stand out
It takes bravery to think beyond a certain point; to start something new. We have all been told that we cannot start our own business if we cannot take risks. But the only thing that can enable you to take on that uncertainty is courage. You must have the audacity to break the collective consciousness and think big.
You can have all your ducks lined up in a row to get your own organization up and running. But your courage will kindle that fire that comes from within.
2. Dare to achieve
When you start a new adventure, in terms of building your dream business, you are bound to face failure. You can look up to all the successful business personalities. They haven’t constructed their profluence in one day. It took years. But they still managed to push through with bravery. You will face obstacles as well.
But to be extraordinary, you have to hold on to your invisible superhero cape: your courage. That will give wings to your ability. The ball will start rolling when you believe in yourself and your organization.
3. Will I be able to?
Building your own business is like climbing Mt. Everest. It seems impossible until it’s done. Self-doubts will cloud your mind, and you will remember all the negative things bestowed upon you until now. So, it’s okay to be afraid when you take on a new initiative. You see, fear is one of our primitive emotions. But so is bravery.
Giving up is very easy. It doesn’t take much to give up. But it takes every bit of your mental strength to be brave. The courage to begin something new, the courage to be disliked. The courage that boosts your confidence and gives you room for grand achievement.
Courage is going for something despite your fear. That will help you gain confidence. Then and only then will you see the first light of success dawning upon you.
After you get going, and your brand starts gaining land under its feet, you cannot loosen your grip. You must sharpen your blades of bravery and go for something bigger, better and grander.
