I have been waiting for the day when I will have this special person as a guest on my show. I have read him, read about him, and he has always inspired me.

On my show, I am having Robin Sharma, the author of the bestseller trilogy ‘The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari’. He has written more than ten books, considered to be one of the top leadership experts in the world and one of the most influential speakers of all time.
It is an honour to have him with me on my podcast. With me, he shares his wisdom, philosophy, and secrets to a happy and fulfilling life. He also talks about his latest work, ‘The 5 AM Club’, and speaks about the 20/20/20 formula to lead a life that is full of contentment.

I have noted a few of the things which I found were impactful, sharing them with you all:

1. Success is What Brings You Joy

Being successful is not something that comes with having a lot of money or fame. It is being able to do what you love with joy. A Success that brings you happiness is the only one that matters.
Your real wealth is not how much money you have in your bank accounts or how many people know you. It is the joy of doing what you love, peace from being around your loved ones, and freedom of loving yourself. That is a real success.
Success is when you have everything you ever desired, and that very thing keeps you grounded, teaches you humility and gratitude.

2. Be Brave and Trust Your Gut

If you believe in yourself and your dreams, you have to work towards it. No matter what, you need to get in your way and get going. The confidence, the instincts that you have about your potential, never let that go.
It is your self-confidence that will take you to places. Once you realise your dream, giving up is not an option. Stay focused, stay hopeful and work towards your goal, and slowly but eventually, the world will mould according to your wishes.

3. Have a Life that lets you Sleep in Peace

Like I mentioned before, success is something that lets you do whatever you want. And that success will lead you in a way that will allow you to enjoy the tiny little pleasures that life has to offer, little joys of life, like a good night’s sleep.
Do not underestimate the power of sleep. You might have a large empire, a huge business to lead, but if that can not give you time to sleep or at the end of the day you are not satisfied with your routine, what is the worth of all the money anyway!

4. Be Relevant

Do not take pressure from the outside world. Do not set your standards on the parameters of what society thinks. Instead, understand your value and focus on being relevant because relevance does not always come with success.
Being relevant means, you did something good with whatever potential you had. You respected your art and loved every bit of it. This helps you and the people around you because once they see you love your work, they will be inspired by you and admire you. So stay relevant; it is incredible!

5. Be Open to Changes

If you never know what an apple tastes like, can you figure out what you are missing by not having it ever? No, right! To stay relevant, you need to be open to changes. If you are not trying new things, exploring new areas, you will miss out on great opportunities in business and in general.
Adaptability, flexibility and being open to changes is the key to evolve in your business and life.

6. Service opens the Door to Happiness

If you are working in a way that serves other people too. Any business, job, or hobby that you are pursuing as a passion, and you are good at it, then you are serving people by inspiring them. Every time you take up a task and do it with all your passion and determination, you change the world for good.
Being honest with your work is the least you can do to bring little changes in your life.

7. The Secret to Joy lies in Routine

While we wait for big changes to happen in our lives, we do not realise that the tiny changes every day are as significant as the big ones. The routine that you follow makes up the person that you are.
When you follow the routine, those that make your days productive and your nights peaceful, you lead towards a humble life that teaches you that joy lies in the details. The tea time that you spend with your family, your morning routine. How you take charge of your day. All these things define who you are. So make sure that your days have a routine that is not monotonous but instead defines your every day and provides you enough time to self-reflect.

My time with Robin Sharma was a memorable one. I understood that it is not material wealth that counts. It is the philosophy you follow in your life that plays a crucial role in defining your life goals. These tiny little changes can have a considerable impact on your life, and you will be thanking yourself that you decided to evolve, and now you are at that place in your life exactly where you dreamt. And I know that though I am not an avid reader, I am certainly going to dive into his books. You, in the meanwhile, enjoy our conversation.
