No one is immune to insecurities — some people deal with them better or hide them better.

Each of us has to face the challenge of insecurity at some point in our lives as we move forward in our careers, relationships, and even everyday lives, many battles with self-doubt as we question our abilities and skills. Bringing about a negative state of mind, the fallout of which can have a debilitating effect on our performance at work and overall mental health. We can, however, find ways around insecurity with the help of the right tools and strategies.

In conversation with Ranveer Allahbadia, we talked about insecurities and how they can affect your overall personality.

Understanding what causes insecurity is the first step toward overcoming it. Like any other emotion, insecurity comes from our perspectives and beliefs.

Whether we are satisfied with our lives depends on interpreting recent life events or circumstances. It is usually difficult to ignore the blow to our self-esteem when we fail to achieve a goal. Whenever we feel failure, we look at other life problems differently.

However, if we see opportunities in obstacles, we can eventually overcome our fears and insecurities.

Here are some changes that you can incorporate-

1. Recognize your worth

We all seek approval, and it is natural to be very aware of how others respond to us. Seek internal validation from yourself to reveal the best version of who you are. It starts with self-knowledge and knowing who you are.

2. Reframe your thinking

Do you have compassion and kindness to see insecurity? Treat yourself like you are your best friend. Focus on activities that make you happy. Be a confident person who celebrates their beauty, dark sides, loud sides, and ambitious sides. Know your good qualities and not-so-good qualities.

3. Overcome your fears

You can’t control everything you say, do, or feel, which is the idea behind learning how to overcome insecurity. Instead of allowing your beliefs to limit you, face your fears. Your inner strength resides in your own space, regardless of your insecurities.
When you decide to embrace insecurity, it might need you to get out of your comfort zone, take action and face your fears. But the result will always be in your favor.

4. Love yourself

Self-love isn’t selfish but necessary for happiness. We love ourselves for ourselves. Take a few moments every day to think about what makes you feel loved. One tip is to start with daily affirmations. Look into the mirror and affirm what you appreciate about yourself. It doesn’t matter what others feel about you, and you should always feel good about yourself.

Being more confident is not a simple goal. It is essential to our success. It affects the way you see yourself, the way you act, and the way you interact. It gives you choices and empowers you to make meaningful changes.

So start thinking about increasing your confidence now, and you’ll see positive results in all areas of your life.
