The definition of growth and success differs from one person to another. Despite that, everyone must follow a few things in life to get there. On my podcast, Figuring Out, I like to ask my guests the best and worst advice they received that helped them figure out the formula for success. And here are the 3 best pieces of advice you can follow for growth in life.

1. Find what you want to do

You have to find your passion to realize what you are good at. It may be academics, sports, business, or something else. When you find your passion, do not take it lightly. Give your all to it. Read books and talk to others about how you can succeed in that field.

Do not be afraid to take a break if that is what you need to find your true calling. Only when you fix a target you can select the action plan for reaching the destination. When you do find your passion, do not waste your potential. Work on it, and make something out of it.

2. Don’t limit yourself to time

Did you know Falguni Nayar started Nykaa when she was in her 50s? That shows you can achieve anything if you are obsessed enough.

Social Media may have given us the wrong idea that we need to achieve everything by age 25. You must be uber-famous, a millionaire, and have an impressive fan following. However, that is not at all true. You can start at any age, because there is no age limit to learning something new. Never limit yourself for growth in life.

3. Be committed to your goal

We live in the age of distractions, otherwise known as social media. When you look at any successful person around you, you will see they all have their priorities straight. They knew what they wanted to do, and they worked towards it. To succeed in life, you have to be committed, which will help you be motivated while achieving these goals. Your confidence will soar as you complete tasks that contribute to your larger goals. Set a plan and timeline to turn your dream into reality. Most importantly, stick to it. Don’t plan to start working in the first year of college; instead, complete your degree and then search for the right job.

Share your goals with friends and family members. They will motivate you and keep you focused.

While chasing your growth, remember not to overwork yourself. Lead a balanced life where you can work hard and relax. Once you reach your set goal, do not settle for it. Strive harder to conquer higher mountains.
